About the Position

Job Title: Cardiac Sonographer Profession: Allied Specialty: Radiology Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 12hr Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 (6:30 PM - 7 AM, Friday through Sunday) Experience: Minimum 2 years License: BLS Certifications: RDCS (ARDMS) OR RCS or ACS (Advanced Cardiac Sonographer through CCI) Must-Have: PALS (preferred), ACLS (preferred), 2D, Doppler, color flow, 3D, strain, contrast studies Description: Cardiac Sonographer position available in a high-quality, fast-paced academic environment. The role involves performing echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, and other cardiac diagnostics. Average number of patients per day is around 110 across all areas. Daily procedures include TTE, stress echo, Dobutamine stress echo studies, and TEEs. Candidate must be skilled in echo techniques including IV management training preferred. Experience in performing TEEs, stress testing, EKG interpretation, and mild sedation is beneficial. The department has a dedicated ultrasound educator and chief sonographer for support. Our focus is on providing patient and family-centered care. Candidates should be adaptable and willing to float to satellite sites as needed. A commitment to teamwork and delivering high-quality patient care is essential.
