About the Position

Job Title: Cardiac Sonographer Profession: Allied Specialty: Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: BLS; RDCS (ARDMS) OR RCS or ACS (Advanced Cardiac Sonographer through CCI) Certifications: PALS (preferred), ACLS (preferred) Must-Have: - Skills in 2D, doppler, color flow, 3D, and strain - Experience with contrast studies - Stress echo skills and knowledge of interventional procedures preferred - RN experience with TEEs, stress testing, EKG interpretation, IV management, cardioversion, and mild sedation Description: A cardiac sonographer performs echocardiograms and other cardiac diagnostic procedures. The position requires expertise in advanced TTE, TEE, stress echo, and dobutamine stress echo studies. Daily patient volume includes comprehensive studies and specialized testing. Candidates should have a patient-focused approach and be adaptable to fast-paced environments. Collaboration with a dedicated cardiac ultrasound educator and experienced team is integral. This role may require travel to satellite sites. A commitment to high-quality patient care and excellent teamwork is essential.
