Duration: 52-Week Contract | Full-Time with possible extension
Shift: Day Shift | Flexible Schedule (Approximately 9:00 AM–8:30 PM)

About the Opportunity

Join a nationally recognized academic medical center as a Pathologists' Assistant supporting the Anatomic Pathology Department at UCLA Health. This is a full-time travel contract offering the opportunity to work alongside an experienced pathology team in a leading teaching hospital.

Under the direction of the Chief of Anatomic Pathology and department leadership, you will perform gross examination of surgical specimens, assist with frozen sections, photograph specimens, and support laboratory operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform gross examination and dissection of surgical pathology specimens
• Describe, photograph, and document specimens accurately
• Assist with frozen section procedures
• Prepare and maintain pathology protocols and documentation
• Support quality assurance and laboratory operations
• Participate in administrative, educational, and departmental activities as assigned

Schedule

• Full-Time
• 5x8 Day Shifts
• Flexible scheduling between 9:00 AM and 8:30 PM
• 52-week assignment (shorter assignments may be considered)

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent experience working as a Pathologists' Assistant
• Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences, Health Sciences, or a related field
• Graduate of a NAACLS-accredited Pathologists' Assistant Program
• PA(ASCP) Certified OR eligible to obtain certification within 12 months of hire
• Candidates should be currently practicing as a Pathologists' Assistant with a stable work history

Preferred Qualifications
