Dental Assistant
Location: Ocala, FL
Agency: 22nd Century Healthcare, Inc.
Pay: $18 to $21 per hour
Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours
Contract Duration: 6 Months
Start Date: ASAP

About the Position

Duration: 06 months to long-term

Shift: 08:00 AM – 05:00 PM (Mon – Fri)

Responsibilities:

• Polish clinical crowns of teeth.
• Apply topical fluoride gels and varnish.
• Place temporary restorations, place sealants, remove sutures.
• Fabricate temporary crowns, pack cord, and cement temporary crowns.
• Place matrix bands, wedges, retraction cord, to prepare for restorations, place restorations.
• Fit and shape stainless steel crowns for dentist to cement.
• Review medical history with the patient/Client and take blood pressure as indicated by clinic policy.
• Complete the signs and symptoms (S) and objective data (O) of the SOAP notes and write up in computer notes
• Utilize proper barrier techniques as per OSHA guidelines.
• Instruments and equipment are out and in place ready before the patient arrives
• Maintain adequate inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Must have a positive, helpful attitude toward dental director, dentist, students, other staff, patients and their families.
• Must be trained and able to treat patients with various conditions, including but not limited to chronic health conditions such as diabetes, hypertension and heart disease, and intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Must be able to lift at least 10 pounds.

Requirements

• Active Dental Assistant certification
• Florida Radiology certification
• BLS/CPR Certification
