Conflux Systems is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a 13-week contract assignment in Clovis, New Mexico. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside an experienced Occupational Therapist while helping patients regain independence and improve their quality of life.

Job Summary

As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), you will provide occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) in accordance with state and federal regulations and facility guidelines. You will assist patients in developing, restoring, and maintaining the skills needed for daily living and functional independence.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement occupational therapy interventions according to the supervising OT's plan of care.

• Document patient treatments, progress, and outcomes accurately and promptly.

• Assist with patient and family education regarding therapy goals and home exercise programs.

• Communicate patient progress and any concerns to the supervising Occupational Therapist.

• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with facility policies.

• Follow all infection prevention, patient safety, HIPAA, and regulatory guidelines.

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, rehabilitation staff, and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) program.

• Active New Mexico COTA license or eligibility to obtain one before the start date.

• Current CPR/BLS certification (preferred).

• Previous clinical or rehabilitation experience is preferred.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.

• Strong commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
