Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT-NICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum Years of Experience: Level 4 NICU experience required Experience in Cardiac PICU preferred License: Valid state license required Certifications: RRT certification BLS NRP Must-Have: Previous charge experience: 1 year Epic charting system experience Description: This position requires a Respiratory Therapist proficient in caring for patients in the NICU. Experience in pediatric critical care and high-risk deliveries is essential. Strong communication and critical thinking skills are necessary for working in a multidisciplinary team. The Respiratory Therapist will be required to work across various units. Competence in performing assessments and managing ventilation for neonates and pediatrics is critical. The role includes using specialized equipment and conducting procedures necessary for patient care. The ideal candidate will be familiar with managing complex respiratory conditions, such as bronchopulmonary dysplasia and respiratory distress syndrome. Candidates should be able to work every other weekend and holiday as scheduled. This position does not guarantee the preferred schedule but aims to accommodate requests where possible. Floating within the scope of practice to different units may be required. Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork orientation are important for success in this role.
