Occupational Therapist – Home Health (Travel Contract)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Days (5x8 Hours, 8:00–16:30) | Onsite / Field-Based (Home Health)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services to a geriatric patient population in a home health setting
• Complete approximately 6 patient visits per day with a target productivity of approximately 25 units per week
• Document patient care accurately and timely using electronic health record systems (HCHB and/or Epic depending on assignment period)
• Travel to patient homes across a multi-county coverage area, with occasional support to neighboring county offices as needed
• Float within scope of practice as operationally needed
• Adhere to all compliance, onboarding, and orientation requirements within specified deadlines

Required Qualifications

• Active Occupational Therapist licensure in Georgia or applicable Compact license
• Minimum of 1 year of occupational therapy experience (first-time travelers accepted)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Home health experience required
• Proficiency with Homecare Homebase (HCHB) required through 10/1/2026; Epic proficiency required after 10/1/2026
• Ability to travel 50–100 miles per day within the assigned coverage area

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience working with geriatric patients in a home health environment
• Familiarity with both HCHB and Epic electronic health record platforms
• Experience as a travel clinician in a home health or field-based setting
