Travel Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Days | Monday–Friday with one weekend day per month | Approximately 8-hour shifts (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, hours may vary) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide speech-language pathology services within a Long-Term Acute Care Hospital (LTACH) setting
• Evaluate and treat patients with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient assessment findings
• Document patient progress and clinical notes using the facility's EMR system (ProTouch)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to support patient rehabilitation and recovery goals

Required Qualifications

• Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license valid in the state of New Mexico
• Minimum of 1 year of acute care experience
• Proficiency or ability to quickly learn ProTouch EMR
• Ability to work a schedule of Monday–Friday with one weekend day per month

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Long-Term Acute Care Hospital (LTACH) environment
• Experience with dysphagia evaluation and treatment in a medically complex patient population
• Previous travel assignment experience
