Job Title: Echo Sonographer

Seven Healthcare are seeking a skilled Echo Sonographer for an immediate start in Santa Fe, NM. This travel assignment focuses on performing diagnostic echocardiograms on adults and pediatric patients. Key Responsibilities of the Echo Sonographer

• Perform technically proficient 2D, M-mode, and Doppler cardiac exams.
• Coordinate scheduling and transportation of patients with related departments.
• Assist cardiologists during exams by preparing M-mode measurements and exchanging pertinent information.
• Deliver, pick up, and distribute dictations in a timely manner.
• Respond to patient needs during exams and report any condition changes to physicians or nurses.
• Maintain examination rooms and order Echo supplies as needed.
• Log patient exams and maintain accurate departmental records.
• Participate in Performance Improvement activities and share on-call coverage responsibilities.
• Ensure quality control of equipment and coordinate necessary repairs.
• Stay updated with advancements in Echocardiography and collaborate with cardiologists.
• Assist with other cardiac procedures when required.

Requirements of the Echo Sonographer

• High school diploma or equivalent; preference for completion of a two-year allied health education program.
• A.R.D.M.S./CCI registered or registry eligible or equivalent national accreditation required.
• State of New Mexico Echo Sonographer License.
• BLS certification issued through the American Heart Association.
• Ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate strong organizational and collaborative skills.
• Preferred experience of two years performing echocardiograms.
