About the Position
Job Title: Therapist - Respiratory Profession: Registered Respiratory Therapist Specialty: Registered Respiratory Therapist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 PM - 07:30 AM Hours per Shift: 12.5 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Credential(s): BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association obtained within 30 days of hire date. Certifications: One or more of the following: Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Indiana Respiratory Care Committee obtained prior to hire date. Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care obtained prior to hire date. Must-Have: BLS, ACLS, NRP, NRP Advanced Description: Provides evaluation of and care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies. Assesses patients for appropriate type and frequency of treatment and develops a plan of care based on diagnosis. Implements and monitors patient care plans and equipment. Monitors, records, and communicates patient conditions. Performs advanced respiratory care modalities. Evaluates respiratory practice, administration of medications, and treatment based on patient outcomes. Educates patients and families about health conditions and provides information about community support groups and available programs. Responds to emergency resuscitation team codes. Required: RRT (NBRC), NRP, BLS. Unit Description: Neonatal Respiratory Care Level 4 NICU, 109 neonatal intensive care beds. Equipment: Servo U, Bunnell Jet Ventilator, 3100A Oscillator, Bubble CPAP, Optiflow. EMR: Sunrise Clinical Manager. Scrub Color: Caribbean Blue.
