About the Position

Job Title: CST/ORT Profession: CST/ORT Specialty: OR Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 07:00-19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Current CST/ORT License Certifications: BLS Certification Must-Have: General surgery, orthopedic, and neuro surgery experience for both RN and Tech. Basic general OR knowledge of more than one year. For CVOR candidates, a minimum of two years of CVOR experience is required, including all adult open heart cases and open and endovascular cases. Description: This position is for a backfill contract in a fast-paced operating room environment. Shifts are primarily scheduled for Monday, Tuesday, and Friday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The unit has 11 operating rooms and is staffed by approximately 40 personnel across all shifts. Patient ratios are maintained at 1:1 for optimal care. The operating room uses a variety of advanced equipment, including microscopes, robotics, and laparoscopic systems. Candidates are expected to be flexible and adaptable to different types of cases and work styles within the department. Experience in trauma and vascular surgery is preferred. Typical procedures performed include X-lif, A-lif, decompression, ACDF, craniotomy, and robotic surgeries. Candidates should be willing to assist in training new staff members. Dress code consists of light blue scrubs, which are provided. The unit values collaboration and staff adaptability.
