About the Position
Job Title: Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer Profession: Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer Specialty: Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 20:30 - 07:00 Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: 2 years License: RDMS, RVT Certifications: Basic Life Support Certification Must-Have: Certified by the ARDMS or ARRT (S) 1+ years experience in General, OB, and Vascular Description: The ultrasound technologist is responsible for providing effective and high-quality imaging using ultrasound and related procedures. The role requires optimizing image quality for interpretation by licensed practitioners. The ultrasound technologist must provide essential patient care to ensure successful completion of each procedure. Adherence to professional practices and maintenance of a healthy work environment are critical. Candidates must possess independent thinking, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. A patient-centered approach and adaptability to change are essential personality traits for this role. The technologist will perform various ultrasound procedures such as Abdomen, Pelvic with transvaginal, and Doppler imaging. Procedures also include Upper and Lower extremity Venous Duplex and Arterial Doppler assessments. Experience with specific imaging modalities and strong communication skills are preferred.
