Job Title: Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist Profession: Cath Lab Technician Specialty: Cath Lab Technician Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 AM - 05:30 PM Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Licensure with the Department of Health Certifications: Certified with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Must-Have: - Knowledge of Angioplasty - Experience with Percutaneous Intervention - Familiarity with Impella and IntraAortic Balloon Pump (IABP) - Understanding of Atherectomy Devices/Technique (Rotablader) - Experience with Temporary Venous Pacemaker and Swan Ganz Placement - Scrubbing Technique for procedures encouraged - BLS and ACLS certifications Description: The Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist will be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic and interventional procedures in the cardiac catheterization lab. The position requires knowledge and experience in various cardiac procedures. Candidates should possess a thorough understanding of angioplasty techniques and percutaneous interventions. Experience with Impella and IntraAortic Balloon Pump (IABP) is essential. Familiarity with atherectomy devices and techniques, such as the Rotablader, is required. The technologist will also be expected to perform temporary venous pacemaker and Swan Ganz placements. The role encourages scrubbing technique for procedures. The technologist will work with department equipment, including Philips, Siemens, and GE Fluoroscopy Systems. Candidates must be available for weekend call, with a response time of 30 minutes from activation.
