About the Position

Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory Therapy Specialty: Cardiopulmonary Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00-19:00 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Certifications: BLS, ACLS required; NRP preferred Must-Have: Positive attitude Teamwork Problem-solving skills Description: This is a 116-bed facility. Patient ratios are determined by staffing availability. Core staffing includes 2 respiratory therapists. The unit is equipped with Pyxis medication dispensing and Dräger ventilators. Documentation is managed through an electronic system. Schedule requires every other weekend shifts. Floating policy is in place as needed. Patient experience requirements include AIDET, completion of communication board, and medication teaching. Additional certifications required include NRP, BLS, and ACLS. The required uniform is ceil blue scrubs. The unit has specific policies and guidelines for operation. Considerations for prospective candidates include new equipment and technology as well as the experience level of the staff. Schedule flexibility options may also be available.
