About the Position

Surgical Assistant – Honolulu, HI

Medical Edge Recruitment is seeking a Surgical Assistant for a full-time opportunity in beautiful Honolulu, Hawaii!

Salary:
$116,000 to $140,000 annually

Schedule:
Full Time

Responsibilities:
• Assist surgeons during operative procedures as the First Assistant
• Maintain a sterile surgical environment
• Provide intraoperative support, including tissue handling, exposure, hemostasis, and wound closure
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and the surgical team to ensure safe, high-quality patient care

Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent education and training
• Current Certified First Assistant (CFA), Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA), or Assistant in Surgery certification through one of the following:
• National Board of Surgical Technology and Assisting (NBSTSA)
• National Surgical Assistant Association (NSAA)
• American Board of Surgical Assistants (ABSA)
• National Assistant at Surgery Council (NASC)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification for Healthcare Providers
• Previous First Assistant/Surgical Assistant experience preferred
