About the Position

Job Title: MRI Technician

Duration: 12 Weeks
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM | 40 Hours/Week
Department: 1023C NSH Jasper Imaging – MRI
Location: Jasper, GA

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent MRI experience required.
• No local candidates within a 50-mile radius.
• Current ARRT (MRI) Certification required.
• Current AHA BLS Certification required.
• Experience operating Siemens Aera and Siemens Altea 1.5T MRI systems (latest platform) preferred.
• Strong knowledge of MRI safety protocols and patient screening procedures.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MRI examinations according to physician orders and departmental protocols.
• Prepare and screen patients for MRI procedures, ensuring compliance with MRI safety standards.
• Operate Siemens Aera and Altea 1.5T MRI scanners, optimizing image quality while maintaining patient safety.
• Position patients accurately and monitor them throughout imaging procedures.
• Administer contrast agents when appropriate and monitor patients for any adverse reactions.
• Review images for diagnostic quality and collaborate with radiologists to ensure complete studies.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and imaging records in the electronic medical record system.
