Cath Lab Tech
Location: Phoenix, AZ

About the Position

Job Responsibilities

• Procedural Scrubbing & Circulating: Scrub in and directly assist interventional cardiologists during diagnostic, interventional, and peripheral vascular procedures (e.g., diagnostic catheterizations, angioplasties, coronary stenting, pacemakers, and ICD placements).

• Hemodynamic Waveform Monitoring: Operate advanced physiological recording systems; meticulously track, record, and interpret real-time hemodynamic waveforms, intracardiac pressures, and continuous ECG changes to recognize active arrhythmias.

• Imaging System Operation: Position and operate single-plane or biplane fluoroscopic imaging systems, manage automated contrast injectors, and strictly practice radiation safety standards (ALARA) within the suite.

• Emergency On-Call Rotation: Actively participate in the department's evening, night, and weekend emergency on-call pool to provide rapid-response coverage for acute ST-elevation myocardial infarctions (STEMI).

Requirements

Job Requirements

• Certifications: Active national credential as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) through CCI or a Registered Radiologic Technologist with a dedicated cardiac focus (ARRT-R or ARRT-CI).

• State Licensure: Active Medical Radiologic Technologist certification (MRT) issued by the Arizona Department of Health Services (AZDHS), if registering via the ARRT pathway.

• Experience: Minimum 1 to 2 years of recent, independent scrubbing and monitoring experience in a high-volume, acute care hospital Cath Lab.

• Life Support: Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory.
