About the Position

Job Responsibilities

  • Procedural Scrubbing & Circulating: Scrub in and directly assist interventional cardiologists during complex diagnostic, interventional, and structural heart procedures (e.g., diagnostic catheterizations, PCI/angioplasties, stenting, TAVR, MitraClip, and pacemaker/ICD implants).

  • Hemodynamic Waveform Monitoring: Operate complex physiological recording systems; accurately track, document, and interpret real-time hemodynamic waveforms, intracardiac pressures, and continuous ECG changes to identify arrhythmias or distress.

  • Fluoroscopic Imaging Operation: Position and operate advanced single-plane or biplane fluoroscopic equipment, manage automated contrast injectors, and strictly enforce radiation safety standards (ALARA) within the suite.

  • Emergency On-Call Rotation: Participate in the department's emergency on-call pool to provide rapid-response coverage for acute ST-elevation myocardial infarctions (STEMI) and emergent vascular interventions.

Requirements

Job Requirements

  • Certifications: Active national credential as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) through CCI or a Registered Radiologic Technologist with a dedicated cardiac focus (ARRT-R or ARRT-CI).

  • State Licensure: Active California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) certification and a valid California Fluoroscopy Permit are strictly required.

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent, independent scrubbing and monitoring experience in a high-volume, high-acuity acute care hospital Cath Lab.

  • Life Support: Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory.
