Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality CT examinations according to physician orders and departmental protocols
- Prepare, position, and educate patients before imaging procedures while ensuring their comfort and safety
- Administer contrast media as prescribed and monitor patients for adverse reactions
- Operate CT scanners and imaging equipment to obtain accurate diagnostic images
- Evaluate image quality prior to submission for radiologist interpretation
- Follow radiation safety standards and ALARA principles to minimize patient exposure
- Monitor patients throughout imaging procedures and respond appropriately to changes in condition
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation in the electronic medical record
- Perform routine equipment quality assurance checks and report maintenance concerns
- Maintain compliance with infection prevention, patient safety, and departmental policies
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Active Washington State Radiologic Technologist License (if required)
- Current ARRT Certification in Radiography (R) required
- ARRT Certification in Computed Tomography (CT) preferred
- Minimum 2 years of recent CT Technologist experience
- Current BLS Certification required
- Experience performing contrast-enhanced CT studies in an acute care setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of CT imaging protocols, anatomy, patient positioning, and radiation safety
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to diagnostic excellence
