Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction
• Delegate and direct all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring functional treatment programs support effective return to community activities
• Complete thorough medical record documentation in a clear, concise, and timely manner, including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and intermediary guidelines
• Ensure all care is provided under signed, valid physician orders and within insurance approvals as required
• Participate in student programs as assigned, providing appropriate supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations
• Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and all applicable regulatory requirements, maintaining professional licensure in good standing

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Physical Therapist license in the state of Georgia
• Ability to perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop clinical treatment plans with appropriate goals
• Knowledge of and adherence to discipline-specific professional code of conduct and state practice act requirements
• Completion of all state-mandated continuing education requirements
• Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and safe patient handling practices

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting
• Experience supervising or mentoring physical therapy students
• Familiarity with performance improvement methodologies and quality improvement initiatives
