About the Position

Job Title: Travel Physical Therapist Profession: Physical Therapy Specialty: Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day shift Hours per Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Valid state license required Certifications: Specific certifications as required for practice Must-Have: Candidates must have at least 1 year of experience in acute care and/or inpatient rehabilitation settings. Description: MCP Rehabilitation Therapy Services include Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy. All departments serve an acute care hospital with various specialty floors. The inpatient rehabilitation unit has 40 beds dedicated to recovery and therapy. The team consists of multiple full-time physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech therapists. Staff include a director, manager, and supervisors for each therapy discipline. No mandatory on-call or floating requirements apply. Staff must work two weekend shifts per month as part of their rotation. Typical treatments involve providing one-on-one therapy to patients. Speech therapists are also required to conduct modified barium swallow studies as part of their responsibilities. Ideal candidates possess acute care hospital skills and experience in inpatient rehabilitation. A willingness to be accountable, flexible, and open-minded is essential for success in this role. A good sense of humor is valued within the team environment. Candidates who have primarily worked in skilled nursing facilities or outpatient settings will not be considered. This position offers the opportunity for collaboration with experienced staff and access to various therapy equipment.
