About the Position

Job Title: Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - NICU Profession: Respiratory Therapy Specialty: RRT-NICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years, with NICU experience required License: Washington State Respiratory license required Certifications: RRT, BLS, NRP, PALS, ACLS Must-Have: Level IV NICU trained Respiratory Therapist willing to work on adult floor and ICU. Description: Position requires a Respiratory Therapist with NICU experience. Must be Level IV NICU trained. Willingness to work on adult floors and in ICU is essential. This position includes working nighttime shifts three times a week. Experience in a Level IV NICU is mandatory, with at least 2 years of relevant experience. First-time applicants are accepted. Weekend shifts may be required based on unit needs. No on-call duties are expected for this position. Floating within the hospital is required, but not to sister hospitals. Candidates must have familiarity with high acuity NICU settings. Experience with NAVA, high-frequency oscillators, or high-frequency jet ventilation is highly preferred. Candidates must be comfortable with various patient diagnoses, including those related to heart, lung, kidney, and liver transplants. Special equipment experience with Servo U, Hamilton C-1, and NLTV ventilators is required. Familiarity with EPIC charting system is necessary. Documentation of any background hits is required. References are needed for application consideration. Continuous education modules are required as part of compliance. This position may involve working with neonates, infants, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The daily patient census will be maintained at around 10-15 patients in the unit. Candidates must be willing to adapt to unit needs and demonstrate flexibility in scheduling.
