Occupational Therapist – Inpatient / Acute Care

Contract | Days | 5x8-Hour Shifts (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient occupational therapy services across a variety of acute care units including neurology, oncology, med/surg, ICU, nephrology, and cardiac
• Float to acute care settings as needed to support patient care demands
• Evaluate and treat patients with diverse diagnoses, developing and implementing individualized therapy plans
• Document patient progress and treatment plans accurately within Cerner EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning

Required Qualifications

• Active Occupational Therapist license (must be obtained prior to start; proof of pending licensure may be considered)
• Minimum 1 year of occupational therapy experience; acute care experience is required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR is required
• Ability and willingness to float to acute care units

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NBCOT certification preferred
• Prior travel therapy experience preferred
• 3 or more years of occupational therapy experience preferred
