Key Responsibilities

• Provide skilled occupational therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
• Implement individualized treatment plans to improve ADL performance, functional mobility, upper extremity function, cognition, safety awareness, and overall independence.
• Accurately document treatments using electronic medical records in accordance with Medicare, state, and facility standards.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team regarding patient progress and discharge planning.
• Educate patients, caregivers, and facility staff on adaptive equipment, home safety, and functional strategies.
• Participate in care conferences and team meetings as appropriate.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current California COTA license or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to complete documentation in Net Health per facility standards.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a skilled nursing facility setting.
• Experience treating orthopedic, neurological, cardiopulmonary, or medically complex patient populations.
• Motivated new graduates with a passion for patient-centered care are encouraged to apply.
