About the Position

Job Title: Echo Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Cardiac Sonographer Duration: 7 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of pediatric echo experience required License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ARRT, ARDMS, CCI, AZ fingerprint clearance card Must-Have: Pediatric echo experience Description: Position specialty is for an Echo Tech. Pediatric experience is required. Extensive pediatric protocols are utilized, including anatomical views in Subxiphoid, Parasternal, Suprasternal, Right Parasternal, and Apical views. Candidates should possess at least one year of full-time pediatric work, averaging 20 echoes per week. Alternatively, candidates should have 4-5 years of part-time experience, averaging 4-5 echoes per week, utilizing the full pediatric protocol. A minimum of approximately one thousand echoes performed is expected to encounter a good number of congenital abnormalities. Shift consists of Monday to Thursday from 0700-1730. First-timers are accepted. Weekend coverage is required as needed. On-call duties are required from 1730 to 0700, Monday through Friday. Preferred skills include EP, Structural Heart, MacLab, and Cerner charting system experience. The facility operates as a short-term acute care setting with a total of 268 staffed beds. All employees are expected to adhere to quality and patient safety standards. Candidates must show flexibility and openness to floating based on skills and census needs. Holiday availability includes working two of the recognized holidays. Compliance documentation and tests are required prior to the start of the assignment. References are necessary prior to starting the position.
