The unit operates with advanced equipment such as Servo U & Drager VN500 ventilators, F&P Bubble CPAP, HFOV, HFJV, Vaportherm, and heliox therapy. Documentation is managed through an electronic system. The respiratory therapist will manage ventilated patients in a critical care setting. Skills needed include independent admission and management of patients. Familiarity with non-invasive ventilation techniques is necessary. Experience with Bubble CPAP, nitric oxide, and high-frequency ventilation is required. Staff on the unit includes dedicated support personnel.
