About the Position

Job Title: EP Tech Profession: EP Tech Specialty: Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:30 - 17:00 Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of 21 years in critical care and electrophysiology License: RN, ARRT/RTR or RCIS Certifications: ACLS & BLS Must-Have: Critical care and electrophysiology experience required. Experience with ablation, pacemaker implant, and removal is essential. Description: The unit features three electrophysiology labs, with two dedicated labs and one hybrid OR. The ideal patient ratio is 1:1, staffed with lead techs, RNs, and certified techs. The equipment utilized includes Boston Scientific, BioSense Webster Carto, Medtronic, and Baylis/VersaCross. Documentation is managed through specialized systems. The scheduling requires four 10-hour shifts with late stays. Floating policies may apply. The patient experience focuses on critical care with ICU and ER experience being necessary. Procedures performed on the unit include A-fib and A-flutter, SVT, and VT ablations using RF and cryo techniques. Pacemaker and ICD implants, including various types, are also common procedures. Lead extractions are performed by the qualified team. The dress code consists of royal blue and black for RNs and navy blue and black for techs. The department is recognized for its high volume of cases and involvement in numerous studies. Staff describe the work environment as supportive with opportunities for professional growth.
