About the Position
Job Title: Echocardiography Technologist III (Pediatric/Fetal Cardiology) Profession: Radiology/Cardiology Specialty: Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Day 5x8-Hour Hours per Shift: 08:30 - 17:00 Experience: 7-10 years of cardiac clinical ultrasound experience License: RDCS or RCS credentialed (or registry eligible through ARDMS or CCI) Certifications: Current AHA BLS Certification Must-Have: - Associate Degree in Allied Health or related field, OR completion of a 2-4 year Diagnostic Ultrasound program, OR 7+ years of relevant experience - Experience performing pediatric/congenital echocardiograms independently Description: Perform complex congenital heart echocardiograms and fetal echocardiograms independently. Analyze imaging data and present findings to physicians. Collaborate with cardiologists regarding fetal echocardiogram findings. Assist with special and invasive cardiac procedures. Educate patients and families regarding procedures and findings. Maintain echocardiography equipment and support quality improvement initiatives. Strong pediatric cardiac imaging experience is required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary. Ability to work effectively in high-acuity environments is essential. Strong attention to detail and clinical judgment is important. Must be willing to travel between cardiology clinic locations as needed for fetal imaging coverage.
