About the Position

Job Title

Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist – NICU / Pediatrics

Location

Savannah, Georgia

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time Hours

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently admit and manage ventilated patients in the Pediatric ICU using the Servo-U ventilator
  • Set up and manage heliox therapy through both invasive and non-invasive measures
  • Provide non-invasive ventilation support including BiPAP and CPAP
  • Deliver neonatal respiratory care including Bubble CPAP, nitric oxide therapy, and high-frequency ventilation (HFOV and HFJV)
  • Operate and manage specialized equipment including Dräger VN500, Fisher & Paykel Bubble CPAP, Vaportherm, and heliox systems
  • Document all patient care accurately using the Epic electronic health records system

Required Qualifications

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of Neonatal ICU (NICU) or Pediatric ICU (PICU) critical care experience
  • Current PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage ventilated neonatal and pediatric patients
  • Proficiency with high-frequency oscillatory and jet ventilation modalities

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Experience with Vaportherm high-flow therapy and heliox delivery systems
  • Familiarity with Epic documentation platform in a critical care setting
  • Prior travel therapy experience in a Level I trauma or children's hospital environment
