Job Details

Responsibilities

  • Assist Physical Therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans
  • Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance training, and mobility interventions
  • Monitor patient progress and report changes in condition to the supervising Physical Therapist
  • Educate patients and caregivers on prescribed exercises, mobility techniques, and safety precautions
  • Assist patients in improving strength, flexibility, coordination, endurance, and functional mobility
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient treatments and progress
  • Prepare therapy equipment and treatment areas before and after patient sessions
  • Ensure compliance with infection prevention, patient safety, and rehabilitation protocols
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while encouraging patient participation and recovery

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
  • Active Kentucky Physical Therapist Assistant License
  • Minimum 2 years of recent PTA experience
  • Current BLS Certification required
  • Strong knowledge of rehabilitation techniques, therapeutic exercises, and mobility training
  • Excellent communication and patient education skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to assist patients with lifting, transferring, and mobility activities
  • Commitment to providing exceptional patient-centered rehabilitation services
