About the Position

We are seeking an experienced Travel DEXA Technologist for a 13-week contract at Providence Portland Medical Center in Portland, Oregon. This is an outpatient-focused opportunity for a technologist with current, hands-on Bone Density (DEXA) exam experience, providing high-quality diagnostic imaging for adult and geriatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform Bone Density (DEXA) examinations on adult and geriatric patients.
• Operate GE DEXA imaging equipment while ensuring image quality and patient safety.
• Accurately position patients and follow established imaging protocols.
• Maintain radiation safety and infection prevention standards.
• Document procedures and patient information using Epic (preferred).
• Collaborate with radiologists and the healthcare team to provide timely diagnostic services.
• Ensure equipment is functioning properly and maintain a clean, organized imaging environment.

Requirements

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of current DEXA (Bone Density) experience (Required – Hard Stop).
• Active ARRT (R) certification.
• OBMI license (required by start date).
• BLS Certification required.
• ARRT Bone Densitometry certification is preferred.
• Epic experience preferred.
