About the Position
We are seeking an experienced Travel DEXA Technologist for a 13-week contract at Providence Portland Medical Center in Portland, Oregon. This is an outpatient-focused opportunity for a technologist with current, hands-on Bone Density (DEXA) exam experience, providing high-quality diagnostic imaging for adult and geriatric patients.
Responsibilities
- Perform Bone Density (DEXA) examinations on adult and geriatric patients.
- Operate GE DEXA imaging equipment while ensuring image quality and patient safety.
- Accurately position patients and follow established imaging protocols.
- Maintain radiation safety and infection prevention standards.
- Document procedures and patient information using Epic (preferred).
- Collaborate with radiologists and the healthcare team to provide timely diagnostic services.
- Ensure equipment is functioning properly and maintain a clean, organized imaging environment.
Requirements
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of current DEXA (Bone Density) experience (Required – Hard Stop).
- Active ARRT (R) certification.
- OBMI license (required by start date).
- BLS Certification required.
- ARRT Bone Densitometry certification is preferred.
- Epic experience preferred.
