About the Position
Providence Medford Medical Center is seeking an experienced Polysomnographer / Sleep Technologist to join its accredited Sleep Lab. This role involves conducting comprehensive sleep studies, monitoring patients overnight, and assisting in the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of sleep disorders in adult and geriatric populations.
Responsibilities
- Perform overnight polysomnography (PSG) studies in accordance with established sleep lab protocols.
- Monitor and record physiological parameters including EEG, ECG, oxygen saturation, respiratory effort, end-tidal CO₂, and periodic limb movements (PLMs).
- Conduct CPAP, BiPAP, ASV, VPAP, and oxygen titration studies.
- Perform mask fitting for nasal pillows, nasal masks, and full-face masks.
- Score and interpret sleep studies, identifying respiratory events, arousals, sleep stages, hypopneas, periodic breathing, and complex sleep apnea.
- Perform Multiple Sleep Latency Tests (MSLT) and Home Sleep Test setup when required.
- Educate patients on sleep study procedures, PAP therapy, and equipment usage.
- Maintain accurate documentation using Epic and operate ResMed sleep equipment while following infection control standards.

- Active Oregon Polysomnography License (required prior to start).
- Current RPSGT (Registered Polysomnographic Technologist) certification or Oregon Polysomnography License (either specialty certification accepted).
- Current BLS certification.
- Minimum 1 year of recent sleep lab experience.
- Experience performing overnight PSG studies, PAP titrations, sleep staging, scoring, and patient monitoring.
- Proficiency with Epic electronic medical records.
