Pay: $1,800 to $1,900 per week

About the Position

Providence Swedish Medical Center is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to support its Endoscopy Department. This role is ideal for a surgical technologist with GI/endoscopy experience who is skilled in procedural assistance, endoscope reprocessing, and maintaining a safe, efficient procedural environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare endoscopy procedure rooms, instruments, and equipment for diagnostic and therapeutic GI procedures.
• Assist physicians during EGD, Colonoscopy, Esophageal Dilations, Foreign Body Removal, and other endoscopic procedures.
• Assist with biopsies, specimen collection, labeling, and transport to pathology.
• Perform endoscope cleaning, high-level disinfection (HLD), and scope reprocessing using Sterris AER.
• Complete room turnover, instrument processing, equipment cleaning, and restocking of procedure rooms and supply carts.
• Maintain infection prevention standards, sterile technique, and Universal Protocol (Time Out) procedures.
• Document procedures and patient information accurately using Epic.
• Float to Swedish Ballard Campus as needed.

Requirements

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent Endoscopy or GI Surgical Technologist experience.
• Current BLS certification.
• Active Washington State Surgical Technologist License, CNA, or MA-C license.
• Experience with Sterris AER and endoscope scope reprocessing.
• Experience assisting with GI procedures including colonoscopy, EGD, biopsies, specimen handling, and esophageal dilations.
• Experience using Epic EMR.
