About the Position

Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) - Home Health Profession: PTA (Physical Therapy Assistant) Specialty: Home Health Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8H Days M-F, Weekend Rotation Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: 1 year preferred License: Required Certifications: BLS (AHA) Must-Have: - Experience with home health care - Ability to perform start of care, recertifications, and evaluations Description: The Physical Therapy Assistant will provide home health services. The average number of patients treated per day is 6.5. Candidates will be expected to perform start of care, recertifications, and daily visits. Common diagnoses include CHF, ortho issues, and pneumonia. The position requires coverage in home health settings. Preferred candidates will have experience and not be new graduates. There is a clinical manager or educator available 24/7 for emergency support. Normal working hours are Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a rotating weekend schedule. Weekend shifts will follow the same 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. hours. Holidays may require coverage as part of the rotation. Scrubs or business casual attire is acceptable. The position requires a commitment to assist patients effectively within the home health environment. All candidates must hold current BLS certification. The charting system used is Homecare Homebase (HCHB).
