About the Position

Job Title: CT Technologist Profession: Radiologic Technologist Specialty: CT Duration: 14 weeks Shift: PM, 5 x 8-hour shifts Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: One year of CT/MRI experience as a radiologic technologist required License: Client license/registration Certifications: A.A.S. in Radiologic Technology or equivalent required Must-Have: GE or Toshiba CT experience Successful completion of pre-employment health clearance Description: The radiologic technologist is responsible for performing radiographic examinations under the direction of departmental radiologists. The technologist will greet the patient and explain the examination they are about to undergo. They will position the patient and set the proper exposure factors to obtain the required quality radiograph. The technologist will practice appropriate radiation safety and protection to assure that patients do not undergo undue radiation exposure. They will have a sufficient knowledge base to operate imaging equipment efficiently and effectively to obtain quality studies. The technologist will report any malfunctions with the equipment to their immediate supervisor. They will process films and input information into the Radiology Information System for documentation and billing purposes. This position is responsible for the proper use of imaging equipment and following department procedures and protocols as defined in the Policy and Procedure Manual. It is mainly focused on providing radiologic examinations based on referring physician and radiologist needs.
