About the Position

Job Title: Cath Lab Technician Profession: Cath Lab Technician Specialty: Cath Lab Technician Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 AM - 05:30 PM Hours per Shift: 10.5 Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: BLS Provider (must be obtained within 30 days of hire) Certifications: One or more of the following: - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist credential - Cardiographic Tech credential - Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credential Must-Have: - BLS Provider credential - One of the specified certifications Description: Assists with procedures and provides diagnostic aid by conducting organ or body scans on patients. Prepares and positions patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately. Prepares and administers contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations. Observes the patient during procedures and reports any abnormal activity. Monitors protocols and recommends updates or refinements as warranted. Follows radiation safety procedures and guidelines. Able to perform all specialized imaging procedures such as angio, complex vascular and nonvascular interventional and therapeutic procedures. Assists the Radiologist/PA during procedures. Ensures all activities comply with regulatory agency standards.
