About the Position

Job Title: Surgical Technologist Profession: Surgical Tech Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Must-Have: Robotics, Trauma Description: The hiring process includes a profile review followed by an interview with the unit manager. Clinicians should be available for the week of orientation, even if the first day is remote. The unit handles an average of 37 cases per day. The required certifications include CST and BLS. Common cases include Ortho Trauma/Joints, Robotics, Neuro/Spine, Plastics, ENT, and Urology. The position involves 3-4 shifts every 6 weeks for weeknight on-call requirements. Weekend on-call requirements are minimal unless additional help is needed. Holiday on-call requirements are in place with a 2-hour response time. There is no floating required within the facility. The dress code consists of blue surgical scrubs, which are provided. The facility utilizes the EPIC charting system. The cancellation policy allows for up to 4 shifts to be canceled during a 13-week assignment.
