About the Position

Job Title: Mammography Technologist Profession: Mammography Technologist Specialty: Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: California State Certification for Mammography Technologists Certifications: BLS, ARRT Certification for Mammography Technologists, COVID Vaccine Required Must-Have: Candidates must provide initial digital CE units. Candidates must provide initial tomosynthesis CE units. Candidates must have 2 years of mammography and tomosynthesis CE units. Candidates must provide prior mammography numbers for the last 2 years. Candidates must possess required certifications and licenses. Description: Patients are scheduled one per hour to accommodate inpatients and emergency room patients. The workload includes typical hospital patients. The radiology team consists of staff scheduled per 24-hour shifts. Weekend requirements may vary based on specific skills and proficiency. Holiday coverage will depend on experience and specific scheduling practices. Scrubs will be provided by the facility. If a radiologist is not on-site, there will be one available on call. Orientation processes will depend on the candidate's specific skills and experiences. Basic radiology technologists are preferred to have a fluoroscopy permit. Additional qualifications such as CT and mammography certifications are desirable. Venipuncture experience is a plus but not required. Experience in the operating room is desirable. Training in tomosynthesis is preferred for mammography technologists. Cancellation policy allows for a specified number of shifts to be canceled during assignments. Charting will be conducted using the Cerner system. The role is set in an acute care setting. Candidates should possess essential certifications for the position.
