About the Position
Job Title: Occupational Therapist Profession: Therapy/Rehabilitation Specialty: Home Health Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Hours (08:00 - 16:30) Experience: Minimum 1 year in Home Health License: Licensed Occupational Therapist required Certifications: BLS Certification required Must-Have: Experience with Homecare Homebase (HCHB) preferred. Description: Minimum experience of 1 year required. First-time travelers are accepted. The patient population is primarily geriatrics. The average daily census is 115. The typical workload is 6 visits per day. Full-time productivity is around 25 units per week. Experience with HCHB is needed until specified date, after which an alternative charting system will be utilized. If not already experienced with HCHB, the candidate must complete an online course prior to starting. The course can be at the candidate's expense and is required for compliance. Scrub color is flexible; any color is acceptable. Mileage will be reimbursed at the standard rate. Coverage area may include several surrounding counties. The traveler is expected to work during major holidays if they fall within the assignment period. If assigned during a holiday period, the traveler is expected to work a specified number of holidays based on the total number of holidays during that time. Full compliance is essential to ensure a timely start. Non-compliance may result in a delay. All requests for time off must be finalized prior to submission. The maximum allowed time off is specified per assignment. Completion of onboarding requirements is necessary to proceed. Compliance documentation must be provided by the deadline for a timely start. Candidates are encouraged to have adaptable skills, including knowledge of adaptive equipment assessment, cognitive assessment, community re-entry, and discharge planning. Experience in skilled nursing facilities and familiarity with OASIS is beneficial. The role requires excellent assessment and evaluation skills in home health care settings.
