About the Position

Job Title: Radiologic Technologist - Clienttion Therapy Profession: Technologist Specialty: Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: NH License Certifications: VT State License, Basic Life Support (BLS) Must-Have: - ARRT(T) certification in Medical Imaging/Clienttion Therapy Description: The role involves providing coverage at multiple locations. The clinics are an hour apart, and the traveler will receive a minimum of four weeks' notice about the scheduled location. Responsibilities include treating patients with various treatment modalities. Utilizing all treatment set-ups and machines while understanding current protocols is essential. Observing and questioning patients about their response to treatment is required. The technologist screens, counsels, or directs physical and emotional problems to radiation oncologists and/or nurses. Directing patients to nurses for weekly evaluations is part of the duties. The technologist prepares daily schedules for assigned treatment machines and checks for accuracy of new patient data. It is necessary to verify that all accessories are prepared and accounted for. Presenting field verification films to the physician to verify set-up is required. Adjusting fields as directed by the radiation oncologist is expected. Documentation and follow-through on changes and re-filming are mandatory. Maintaining patient treatment records and preparing dose calculations while being aware of dose limits is essential. Submitting billing for daily patient treatments and reviewing for accuracy daily is part of the role.
