About the Position
Job Title: Registered Nurse - Respiratory Therapist Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Respiratory Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: RRT, CRT, ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP Must-Have: - Ability to intubate independently for adults - Prior level 2-3 NICU experience including ventilators - Experience with pediatric and adult care Description: The role involves assessing patients and planning appropriate treatments based on physician orders. Responsibilities include establishing goals, treatment methods, and evaluating the patient's potential. Position requires setting up equipment and administering treatments as ordered, including oxygen therapy and airway management. Duties also cover resuscitation, mechanical ventilation, postural drainage procedures, chest physiotherapy, and nebulizer treatments. RTs will perform ABGs, and EKGs during off hours and weekends, but not in the ER. The team operates in a collaborative environment, ensuring high-quality patient care and support for one another. Assignments may vary, with opportunities to work on different floors and in various care settings, providing a diverse range of experiences. The staff is expected to uphold integrity, teamwork, and excellence in quality stewardship with a focus on the best interests of patients.
