About the Position

Job Title: Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech (CST) Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Operating Room Technology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour or Mid 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience required License: CST licensure (NBSTSA) Certifications: BLS (AHA) Must-Have: Experience with vascular, transplant, ophthalmology, spine, robotic, and cardiac procedures is ideal. Description: Assist in preparing for and during surgery Perform routine and delegated duties according to department and hospital standards Ensure quality patient care Practice aseptic technique Use of special equipment such as robotic systems Participate in a schedule that includes weekends and on-call requirements Contribute to a team-oriented environment Adapt to a variety of surgical specialties including cardiac, ophthalmology, and general surgery Provide support in various surgical settings Handle instruments and supplies safely and efficiently Engage in continuous learning and skill enhancement Work collaboratively with surgical teams for optimal patient outcomes Ensure compliance with safety protocols and procedures Maintain a clean and organized work environment Effectively communicate with team members and patients Demonstrate proficient knowledge of surgical procedures Facilitate a positive and efficient workflow in the operating room
