About the Position

Job Title: Physical Therapist Profession: Clinical Professional Specialty: Physical Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Monday to Friday Hours per Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Experience: 0 - 6 months License: Valid State Licensure in Oklahoma or Temporary Letter of Authorization to practice Physical Therapy Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - Graduation from an accredited school of Physical Therapy - Effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills - Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from patients and families - Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations - Basic computer knowledge for data input and reporting - Effective reasoning ability and adaptability Description: Provides clinical patient care by initiating and administering appropriate treatment. Progresses patient treatment as needed while carrying a patient load that meets productivity standards. Evaluates patients accurately. Plans appropriate treatment for each patient. Sets and meets functional goals. Revises and progresses treatment programs as goals are met. Provides documentation by maintaining appropriate treatment records. Completes accurate daily patient charges. Records patient information in a timely manner, ensuring same-day completion. Accurately reflects in patient charges the time spent, procedures performed, and equipment used. Maintains technical expertise through participation in continuing education activities and departmental in-services. Attends scheduled in-services and departmental meetings. Provides instruction (teaching) to patients and/or family members, as well as other healthcare providers. Follows care path guidelines for patient/family education and documentation of home programs. Adheres to guidelines for daily operations and assists senior therapists with daily responsibilities as appropriate. Schedules and prioritizes daily work assignments. Delegates patients to support personnel as appropriate. Assists with training new employees and observing students. Coordinates activities of others but does not supervise. Leads others in the same work performed without supervising. Engages directly with patients, customers, and other healthcare professionals.
