About the Position

Job Title: Floating MRI Tech Profession: Radiology Specialty: MRI Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: 2+ years of MRI experience required License: BLS, ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required Certifications: ARRT (MR), ARMRIT, BLS Must-Have: General MRI exams, knowledge of implants, elastography, defecography, breast, and cardiac MRI Description: The Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (MRI) reports to the site supervisor and manager of radiology. Under general supervision, the MRI Technologist performs high-quality MRI examinations in accordance with established protocols. The position involves working with a diverse patient population for physician interpretation. Other duties may be assigned as needed. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with a standard shift from 12:30 PM to 9:00 PM. Consideration will be given to alternative scheduling options. The incumbent will serve as both an in-house MRI Tech and a mobile MRI Tech at a different location, visiting that location one to two times per week. Weekend coverage is required, with work on Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM as necessary. The facility allows for one shift to be called off every two weeks. Clienttion badge must be provided by the agency. Experience with Siemens equipment is required, with preference given for familiarity with additional systems. Candidates must be willing to float between locations as required. Potential candidates should be aware that they may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season. Hurricane season runs from June through November, with peak activity months in August and September.
