Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) – Long Term Care

Key Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy treatments including exercise, massage, and gait and balance training under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
• Implement therapeutic interventions as outlined in the patient's plan of care
• Monitor and record patient progress throughout the course of treatment
• Report treatment results and patient updates to the supervising Physical Therapist
• Deliver care within a Long Term Care setting, supporting the functional and rehabilitative needs of patients

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of PTA experience (required)
• Active Texas state license or a compact license valid for practice in Texas (required)
• Demonstrated ability to work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience working in a Long Term Care (LTC) environment
• Familiarity with documentation and progress reporting standards in a rehabilitation setting
