About the Position
Job Title: Physical Therapist I/II / Advanced Physical Therapist I/II Profession: Rehabilitation Therapy Specialty: Physical Therapist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Monday - Friday Hours per Shift: 8 am - 5 pm Experience: Minimum 3 years License: Must possess a valid, current, full and unrestricted license in any state within the United States, District of Columbia, or the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico during tenure of employment. Certifications: Must have and maintain a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association. Must-Have: Bachelor’s degree from a Commission of Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) accredited school of Physical Therapy. Description: The Physical Therapist position serves to provide quality physical therapy services to a predominately Native American population for the treatment or prevention of physical disability or disease. Responsible for management and implementation of the Physical Therapy program. Provision of physical therapy evaluation and treatment of inpatients and outpatients, ages ranging from birth through geriatric. Provision of specialty services such as wound care, prosthetic and orthotic clinic, geriatric clinic, high school clinic, functional clinic, spinal cord clinic, and assistive technology/adaptive equipment evaluation/treatment. Assumes direction and development of the physical therapy section. Includes continuing quality improvement, risk management and safety, physical therapy policies and procedures. Involves Joint Commission preparation, staff education, reporting, staff meetings and in-services, and other duties. Responsibilities also include those listed on the Medical Staff Credentialing Core Privileges form. The center provides services to a broad area and serves as a referral center for local communities. The organization offers a culturally rich environment. The staff of medical providers includes various specialists and support personnel. Qualified applicants will need to meet credentialing requirements needed to serve on the Medical Staff. Additional requirements will be communicated during the application process.
