About the Position

Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory Therapy Specialty: CRT Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM) Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent critical care experience required License: South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS, and CRT required Must-Have: Must be able to float to all areas of the hospital, including labor and delivery. No local candidates accepted. All time-off requests must be included at the time of submission. Candidates must have all certifications in hand at the time of start. Description: Position/Specialty: CRT Shift: 3x12, Nights, with holiday rotation. On-call requirement: No. Weekend requirement: Every other weekend. The facility allows for one shift cancellation every two weeks. Total staffed beds: 396. Scrub color: Caribbean Blue. Charting system: Epic. Candidates must be aware that during hurricane season, all employees may be assigned to emergency response teams. Recent critical care experience is mandatory. Experience in adult critical care and pediatrics is preferred. Travel experience is required. Responsibilities include assisting in high-risk deliveries, interpretation of arterial blood gases, and managing mechanical ventilation. Candidates will also be expected to perform bronchoscopy and provide tracheostomy care and management. Compliance with all requirements is expected prior to the start date. Candidates should be prepared to manage various patient age groups, from neonates to geriatrics.
