About the Position
Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Client-Fetal Medicine Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in high-risk obstetrics License: Current ARDMS, BLS Certifications: ARDMS, ARDMS OB/GYN Must-Have: - Experience performing detailed anatomic ultrasound exams - Proficiency in Umbilical Artery and Middle Cerebral Artery Dopplers - Ability to conduct Multiple Gestation assessments and Transvaginal Cervical Length measurements Description: This position involves working in Client-Fetal Medicine. The average daily census is 26 visits per day. The unit is equipped with 3 rooms. The role will require knowledge and skills related to high-risk obstetric patients in an outpatient clinic setting. Experience with GE Voluson ultrasound machines is essential. Familiarity with the ViewPoint reporting system and the Epic charting system is also necessary. The candidate will be responsible for various ultrasound assessments, including but not limited to abdominal circumferences, cerebellum, and fetal anatomical surveys. The role will not require on-call duties. Floating within departments may be required as needed. Compliance with isolation precautions and the use of PPE is mandatory. The position will require strong skills in Doppler studies, M-Mode, and obstetrics. Candidates are expected to have experience in managing high-risk obstetrical cases. Knowledge of amniotic fluid index, placenta previa, and umbilical cord Doppler assessments is important. The ability to conduct thorough evaluations throughout all trimesters of pregnancy is essential for this role. Interdisciplinary collaboration and support will be a key aspect of the job.
