About the Position
Job Title: Interventional Radiology Technologist Profession: Radiology Specialty: Interventional Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 5 days Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: 1 year License: Current state license required Certifications: Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI) by ARRT required, BLS required (AHA only), ACLS preferred Must-Have: Experience in vascular and neuro required Description: The Interventional Radiology Technologist is responsible for performing a variety of complex specialized tasks operating fluoroscopy, computed tomography, laser, and ultrasonography equipment during vascular and neuroradiology angiographic and interventional procedures. This individual helps develop and implement systems to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of patients for procedures in the Interventional labs. Duties for this position include but are not limited to circulating and scrubbing roles during procedures, patient teaching, assisting with patient care within the scope of practice, inventory management, and schedule coordination. Performs all duties in a manner that protects the confidentiality of patients and does not solicit or disclose any confidential information unless necessary for the performance of assigned job duties. Appropriately adapts assigned patient assessment, treatment, and care methods to accommodate the unique needs of each patient served. Ensures compliance with all policies, procedures, and standards of care as required by regulatory entities. Performs examinations/procedures as needed to assist in patient throughput within the scope of the Manager's license and documented competencies. Demonstrates flexibility by working other shifts and locations as needed or required. Ensures completed exams are scanned and stored correctly in the PACS. Ability to follow PACS downtime procedures and escalate any problems or issues if needed. Troubleshoots and reports any equipment malfunctions to the Director/Manager or Biomedical personnel, and performs appropriate follow-up. Performs other duties as assigned. Ensures compliance with all policies, procedures, and standards as outlined by regulatory entities. Demonstrates adherence to core values. Performs other duties as assigned.
