About the Position
Job Title: Occupational Therapist Profession: Therapy/Rehabilitation Specialty: Pediatrics Duration: 20 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: California OT License or eligibility to obtain Certifications: BLS, NBCOT Must-Have: Pediatric outpatient experience Experience with developmental conditions, including Autism, sensory challenges, and fine motor delay Willingness to obtain California OT license if not already licensed Description: Position is for an occupational therapist with experience in the assessment and treatment of pediatric patients with varied developmental conditions. Experience with feeding and eating is preferred but not required. The schedule consists of Tuesday through Friday from 08:00 to 18:30, with Monday off. There are no on-call requirements, and the therapist may call off based on patient volume. Candidates with less than 2 years of experience are not eligible. First-time travelers are accepted. Candidates must have national certifications, including BLS and NBCOT. A California OT license is required or the candidate must be eligible to obtain one if licensed in another state. Candidates must be willing to pursue the California license upon offer, regardless of whether they have it in hand. Experience in pediatric outpatient settings or children's hospitals is preferred but not mandatory. The facility is recognized for excellence in pediatric care and has received various achievements and certifications. This position involves various therapeutic disciplines, including activities of daily living, assessment, discharge planning, and family education.
